The Library Can Support Your Outreach and Events
The Library offers space for your events and instruction, places for your creative displays, and venues for your official advertisements! Our Communications and Events Team at [email protected] complied a list of what we offer to help bridge you with your audience:
Showcase Your Display
We have three display cases; one in the concourse, and the other two inside the library. Campus departments, programs, and organizations are welcome to use these spaces on a first-come-first-served basis. See what we have in our current displays. To request space, fill out a Display Case Request Form and someone from the Communication & Events Committee will respond via email. See our Display Case Guidelines for more information.
Tent Your Event
Request Digital Sign Presence
Have you been yearning to showcase your message on the digital sign at a major campus entrance by the library? Please see our digital signage guidelines.
Reserve the 4th Floor Rotunda
Reserve an Instruction Lab
Instruction labs 115 and 116 are reserved for library programming during fall and spring semester. At other times of the year, the labs may be booked by other UMD departments. Reservations for the instruction labs are first-come, first-served as shown in the instruction lab policy. Please submit your request(s) at least one week in advance and watch for email confirmations. We need separate form submissions for each requested use of the room.
Student Art Exhibits
Have you created artwork that you would like to share with the community? We welcome your submissions. For more information, see our policy.
