During the month of June, the UMD Archives will be unable to respond to most research requests as staff will be focusing on a large collections maintenance project. While the Archives continues to be closed to visitors for onsite research, due to COVID-19 related issues, response times during this month may also be delayed. Archives staff will continue to respond to phone calls and email inquiries during this time but turnaround times may be delayed.
Please let Archives staff know if you are a current UMD student, staff, or faculty member who needs archival materials for a class or work-related project so that those requests can be prioritized.
When will the archives be open again?
We plan to open to current UMD students, staff, or faculty members who need archival materials for a class or work-related project in early July, and then to other researchers in late July. You can check on our current status here.
