Data Management Workshop

Learn about managing and preserving your data

The Kathryn A. Martin Library, in partnership with the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Libraries, encourages any interested staff, faculty, graduate and PhD students to attend an upcoming workshop to learn best practices and tools for research data management. Join us on January 7-8 for in-depth training that will help you learn data management best practices, stay organized throughout the research process, and prepare datasets for preservation, sharing, and re-use. The Workshop is full & no longer taking reservations.

The January 7 workshop will outline learn long-term strategies for organizing your research and actionable steps for immediate application.  Light breakfast and lunch will be provided on the day of the workshop.

On January 8, our course instructors will be available for individual one-on-one consultations on a wide variety of research data management topics.

Topics include:

  • Research project management workflows, risk mitigation, storage
  • Documentation and file management
  • Preserving access to data, repositories, journal policies
