Learn more about Laponia in northern Sweden, a cultural landscape of global significance, tonight at a rescheduled presentation featuring Tom Beery, assistant extension professor with the Minnesota Sea Grant Program.
Laponia was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996. Home to indigenous Sami render herders, the 3,600-mile area contains four national parks and two nature reserves.
Tom Beery, an assistant extension professor with Minnesota Sea Grant, has studied in the area for many years and is a specialist on the cultural landscape of Laponia.
