UMD Authors' Celebration: Scholarly Works

  • Wednesday, March 21, 4:30-6 p.m,  Kathryn A. Martin Library, 4th Floor Rotunda

Join us for an interdisciplinary event that celebrates the breadth and depth of scholarly and creative works authored by our colleagues at UMD. Authors of scholarly works published or performed in 2017 have been invited to share a short reading of their latest work as well as a brief description of their journey as an author and creator.

Presenters include:

  • Ryan Bergstrom, Department of Geography, Urban, Environment and Sustainability Studies
  • David Beard, Department of English, Linguistics, and Writing Studies
  • Thomas Beery, Minnesota Sea Grant
  • Sara Blaylock, Department of Art and Design
  • Laure Charleux, Department of Geography, Urban, Environment and Sustainability Studies
  • Desineni Subbaram Naidu, Department of Electrical Engineering
  • Paula J. Pedersen, UMD Chancellor’s Office

A social hour will follow the readings, providing a chance to talk with the authors and connect with colleagues from across campus. Refreshments will be served.
