Browse the Library's "New Books" Shelf

Find the library's newest titles on the first floor "New Books" shelf.

Next time you're in the Kathryn A. Martin Library, stop by our "New Books" shelf located between the Best Sellers and the Wellness Collection on the first floor.

Here you'll see newly acquired books published in the previous and current calendar years (currently 2016-2017). New books will remain on the shelf for 30 to 60 days, depending on the date of receipt. The number of books available on the shelf will vary from 50 up to 500 at any given time.

Danielle Ostendorf, chair of the library's Collection Team, thinks visitors will like being able to see the library's latest titles. She said,

"Our New Books shelf promotes and shines a spotlight on newly published and newly acquired books at the Kathryn A. Martin Library."

Students, faculty, and staff of UMD can borrow these titles for 13 weeks at a time, subject to recall if requested by another user. Community users receive a 6-week loan.

Search the catalog for "New Books," or stop by the library to see what's available.
