Wellness, Stress Reduction and Strength for the End of the Semester

With the final days of the semester approaching fast, the feelings of anxiety, stress, and frustration are valid and ever-present emotions in a college student's life. 

The Kathryn A. Martin Library and our many partners have prepared a smorgasbord of activities, events, and resources to help our UMD Bulldogs be successful in their studies.

All Monday, December 2 have been canceled due to inclement weather

Free Coffee, Tea, and Cocoa (sponsored by Kirby Program Board) from 8:00 am - 10:00 am.
Enjoy a hot beverage full of caffeine, sugar, and energy as we begin week 15.  Served by the Staff of the Kathryn A. Martin Library

Five Minute Massages on the 2nd Floor from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Free massages and stretches for a lucky 20 students. Signup begins at 10:30.

Make your own Recipe Books from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
Eating right is a big key to wellness. Join Bulldog Beginnings staff and create your own Lil’ recipe book. 

Make your own Button on the First floor from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
Library staff will break out the button makers. Use one of our pre-printed templates or design and cut your own.

Caffeine, sugar, and encouragement delivered by Academic Advising offices from our five colleges.

This event will be rescheduled in February.

Lake Superior Zoomobile from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.
Experience the cuteness of chinchillas, tortoises, hedgehogs and maybe even a therapy chicken (not a typo!).

Pick-me-ups in the form of coffee, tea, cocoa and candy served up by the Academic Advising Offices!

Smoothies & Health Shots in front of the library from 11:00 am - ???
Library and UMD Health Services Staff mix up dairy-free and yogurt-based smoothie shots. We run out quickly, so queue up early.

Group Gratitude Meditation from 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm. 
Join Dori Decker from Health Services in L305 for this feel-good gratitude meditation. Spots are limited so be sure to arrive a little bit early to get a spot! .

Bulldog Yoga Club in SPHC 135 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.

UMD's own Bulldog Yoga Club helps all comers relax, stretch and find their centers. Door prizes include a new Yoga Mat, and journal kit and more.

Stressless Week Coffee, Tea, and Cocoa (sponsored by KPB) from 8:00 am - 10:00 am.
Early risers are rewarding with caffeine and cocoa products. Students entering from the east side of campus can get easy access to a cup of coffee, cocoa or tea. Thanks to Academic Advising offices for sharing.

Exercise Science Club Trivia from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.
Test your balance and knowledge with the Exercise Science Club. Special prizes for those can complete the trivia challenge.

Stressball Make and Take from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm.
Need a tactile tool to reduce your fidgeting? Make a flour/balloon stress ball with library staff members. We have gluten-free options this year; also please do not eat the stress-balls
