Faculty Media Booking

Book a Media Item from the Kathryn A. Martin Library

Faculty may book items such as DVDs, music CDs, or other media resources for future classroom use. Submitting booking requests as early as possible, preferably 16 days in advance, helps ensure the availability of the item at the time you need it.

Book materials online using the media booking request form or in person at the Circulation desk. Online requests will receive a confirmation message within one day if the item is available on the dates selected. Booked items may be picked up at the Circulation desk.

Note: As 3-day loanable items, DVDs are not eligible for the Get It service. Use the media booking request form to request a DVD.

Use the University Libraries Media Services

If a video you need is not available at UMD, you can search the University Libraries catalog for films available at the Walter Smart Learning Commons on the Twin Cities campus and complete a University Libraries advanced booking form. UMD instructors may book a Walter Smart Learning Commons film for three-day use in UMD classrooms. Reservations for UM Twin Cities media must be made at least 10 days in advance.
