Microfilm is a small reel of film containing miniaturized newspapers, books, journals, or documents. Microfiche is similar, but instead of a reel of film, it is a small rectangular piece of film. Microfilm and microfiche can be viewed and scanned at the microfilm scanner on the third floor of the library. Captured images can be saved to a flash drive, emailed as an attachment, or printed in the library. Instructions for the microfilm scanner are posted at the station. If you need additional assistance, staff at the Circulation desk can help.
