Librarian selected for Library Journal 2025 Movers and Shakers Award

Education & Human Service Professions Librarian, Kayleen Jones, was selected by Library Journal as a 2025 Mover and Shaker. 

Hallie Rich, LJ Editor-in-Chief, noted that "Library Journal's 2025 Movers and Shakers represent the best of the creative, inspiring, visionary, and committed individuals who are advancing the library field. We're grateful to our sponsor, Hoopla, for helping LJ to highlight the Movers' important work supporting students, families, and individuals lean in to learning, connect with community, and engage with reading.  

Jones is one of the 50 people, selected from across the country, who are "shaping the future of libraries."   Those honored were placed in the following categories: Advocates, Community Builders, Change Agents, Innovators, and Educators. Jones was recognized for her work with the library's children's literature collection.
