Microfilm

Microfilm is a small reel of film containing miniaturized newspapers, books, journals, or documents. Microfilm can be viewed and scanned at the microfilm scanner. The library no longer purchases materials in this format, but currently retains some materials that remain relevant to local history and provides access to appropriate reading equipment. You may search the collection in the Library Catalog. The collection and reading equipment are located on the third floor.

You can use the microfilm scanner to capture images that can be saved to a flash drive and then printed in the library. Instructions for the microfilm scanner are posted at the station. If you need additional assistance, staff at the Library Services Desk can help.
