The library offers facilities and services to assist patrons with disabilities. UMD students requesting assistance will want to register with UMD's Disability Resources office in order to use equipment in adaptive study rooms.
Services offered include:
- Individualized reference assistance
- Materials retrieval
- Loan period adjustments
Adaptive technology is available in rooms 122, 124, and 126 with a variety of software and hardware (available to UMD students registered with Disability Resources) as listed below:

Need to Borrow a Wheelchair?
UMD's Transportation & Parking Services now has free checkout of scooters, wheelchairs, and rolling backpacks. You can pick up the equipment at the Transportation & Parking Services office located in Kirby Student Center by the bus hub, or staff will deliver the device to your campus location.
